Valerie Bertinelli
Valerie Bertinelli joined Touched by an Angel in the later seasons as Gloria, a young angel who was still learning about humanity. A television veteran by the time she joined the show. She became famous as a teenager playing Barbara Cooper on the hit sitcom One Day at a Time, which ran from 1975 to 1984.
After Touched by an Angel, Bertinelli kept acting and later landed another hit sitcom. From 2010 to 2015, she starred with Betty White, Jane Leeves, and Wendie Malick on Hot in Cleveland.
She later reinvented herself as a food TV personality. Bertinelli hosted Valerie’s Home Cooking on Food Network for 14 seasons and became a longtime co-host and judge on Kids Baking Championship. Valerie’s Home Cooking earned several Daytime Emmy nominations and wins.
Bertinelli has also written several books and has spoken openly about relationships, grief, body image, and self-acceptance.
