Candace Cameron Bure
Candace Cameron Bure grew up in Los Angeles and became famous at age 11 as D.J. Tanner on “Full House.” But after spending most of her life in Southern California, she and her husband, Valeri Bure, decided it was time to leave Los Angeles behind.
Security was the biggest reason. Bure said her family had experienced “quite a few problems over the years,” including people taking photos, hiding on their property and showing up at their door.
“We didn’t feel safe anymore,” Bure told Fox News. “And that was the biggest reason that we moved.”
Changing family dynamics also influenced the decision. The couple’s three adult children no longer lived in Los Angeles, prompting Bure to explain, “Mama will go where they go!”
Despite speculation that she had moved to Tennessee or Texas, Bure remained in California, relocating north to a smaller community. She has since spoken about enjoying small-town life, where people know her for reasons beyond being on television.
