One thing that I have learned in my life is that when times are tough, we greatly need to reach out for help and support. It’s so important not to isolate yourself from your friends and family, or most importantly, from God. When life is challenging is when we most need to stay connected to God and community through prayer and spiritual practice.

On Beliefnet, we offer our Financial Prayer Circle specifically for our readers who are experiencing financial challenges, so that everyone  always has a place to go for support and prayer. Please join us in this effort. You can request a prayer for yourself, for a loved one, or simply show up and offer your prayers of support to others in need. You, too,
can make a difference in someone’s life!

Here are some of the prayer requests we’ve received this week:

In today’s unstable economy, everyone is worried about
job loss. My husband is afraid he may be fired, if not this week, then soon. (read more…)

Family with 3 kids about to be homeless. Please pray for
my family. We have no place to go. The bank is taking our house and we can do
nothing about it. We have worked hard all our lives to provide for our kids and
now due to things out of our control, we are about to loose it all.  (read more….)

This is a special prayer circle for all who have been
laid off their jobs due to the recession. People are already struggling to live
and make ends meet. (read more…)

Here’s a beautiful blessing for today written by the one of the greatest soul’s who ever graced this earth, the late John O’Donohue:

May you awaken to the mystery of being here and enter the quiet
immensity of your own presence.

May you have joy and peace in the temple of your senses.

May you receive great encouragement when new frontiers beckon.

May you respond to the call of your gift and find the courage to follow
its path.

May the flame of anger free you from falsity.

May warmth of heart keep your presence aflame and may anxiety never
linger about you.

May your outer dignity mirror an inner dignity of soul.

May you take time to celebrate the quiet miracles that seek no attention.

May you be consoled in the secret symmetry of your soul.

May you experience each day as a sacred gift woven around the heart of
wonder.
