A common question right now, especially for coastal residents is “What precautions should be taken BEFORE a hurricane hits.”
You can bet the grocery stores will be packed, roads will be filled, and many people will panic. Stay calm and be prepared before the hurricane hits if possible. I find it really helpful to double check my “emergency supply stash”, so I am not caught in a bind.
