In another victory for art in music, Arcade Fire took home the Juno award for Album of the Year Sunday night.  The Canadian band bested teen pop star Justin Bieber, whose album My World 2.0 was nominated in the same category.  Also falling to the indie-alt outfit was superstar Drake, who I didn’t even realize was from Canada.  Canada is taking over people.  It’s Celine Dion all over again.

The Suburbs became just the second album to take home Album of the Year awards at the GRAMMYs and the Juno awards.  The only other to pull it is Alanis Morissette’s 90s pop opus Jagged Little Pill.  I may get made fun of for this, but to me that is some really good company.  Alanis Morissette is a fantastic musician and one of the best Canadians out there.

Congratulations to Arcade Fire!  Now when is your 3D movie coming out?
