Country music star Lainey Wilson is officially married after tying the knot with former NFL quarterback Devlin Hodges in what she described as her “absolute dream ceremony.”

The couple, who have been together for five years, exchanged vows on May 10 at The Ruskin Cave in Dickson, Tennessee, surrounded by family, friends, waterfalls, music, and meaningful personal touches that reflected both their Southern roots and deep connection.

Wilson, 33, announced the marriage in a joint Instagram post with Vogue, giving fans an intimate look inside the rustic cave wedding that quickly captured attention online.

According to Wilson, the couple stumbled upon the venue by chance while driving through Tennessee backroads together.

“Duck and I were driving backroads in Tennessee and saw a billboard for The Ruskin Cave,” she recalled. “Duck said, ‘You wanna get married there?’ I said, ‘Done deal.’ We dropped by, saw the venue, and fell in love with the natural beauty of the cave and the simplicity of the property.”

The ceremony took place on a cobblestone ledge at the foot of a waterfall inside the historic limestone cave. Wilson said the peaceful setting felt right from the start.

“My absolute dream ceremony,” she shared. “There’s a small waterfall flowing down the hill behind the altar and windows. The waterfall is what convinced us to do the ceremony in this spot.”

Wilson described the atmosphere as calm and deeply meaningful.

“You could hear the water trickling down and birds singing, and we had a nice spring breeze,” she said. “I arrived in a white horse-drawn carriage and walked down the aisle with my Deddy to join Duck at the altar.”

One of the most touching moments of the ceremony came when the couple shared communion in front of their guests, a reflection of the faith-centered values they wanted woven throughout the day. Wilson’s longtime friend and mentor, Wes Williams, officiated the wedding.

“I have never seen Duck smile as big as he did then,” Wilson said. “It made me feel giddy about turning the page into this next chapter of marriage. We were both anxious to say ‘I do!'”

Wilson explained that she and Hodges wanted the wedding to feel joyful and welcoming rather than overly formal.

“We wanted it to be special and beautiful, but really welcoming and comfortable for our guests,” she said. “We tried not to take ourselves too seriously.”

The Louisiana native also brought pieces of home into the celebration. A 12-piece jazz band, Rebirth Brass Band, performed during the festivities, while guests enjoyed Cajun-inspired food from chefs connected to Wilson’s Nashville bar, Bell Bottoms Up.

“It was so lovely to have that touch of my home in Louisiana up here in Tennessee,” Wilson said.

Wilson wore a custom Oscar de la Renta gown featuring Japanese cherry blossom appliqués, which she said symbolized “living in the moment.” Hodges embraced the country theme with a dark-green custom suit, a cowboy hat, custom boots, and a gold bolo tie.

After the ceremony, the newlyweds celebrated with a lively reception inside the cave, complete with dancing, music, prayer, and a sparkler send-off.

“My mama led the dinner prayer for all of our guests, and we settled in for a night of good food, good company, and good music,” Wilson said. “Our family and friends know how to have a good time, and the dance floor was packed all night.”

“To close out a perfect evening, Duck and I followed the band through a send-off line of sparklers and cheering loved ones, climbed into an old white Ford truck, and drove off!”

The couple first met after mutual friends arranged a blind date in Nashville. Wilson said they quickly formed a strong connection.

“We’ve been pretty inseparable since,” she said.

Hodges proposed earlier this year during what Wilson believed was simply a visit to the former estate of country legend George Jones. Instead, she walked into a carefully planned proposal complete with candles and framed photos.

“He had it all set up,” Wilson remembered. “It could not have been more perfect.”

For fans who have followed Wilson’s rise in country music, the wedding offered a heartfelt glimpse into the singer’s love story — one built on faith, family, simplicity, and Southern tradition.
