Former Malcolm in the Middle star, professional race car driver, and outspoken Christian Frankie Muniz has announced that he and his wife, Paige, are ending their marriage after six years together.
Muniz shared the news in a statement on X last week, revealing that the couple had been privately separated for some time before deciding to make the split permanent. The pair married in October 2019 and share a 5-year-old son.
“Following a period of separation that we kept private, Paige and I have decided to move forward with ending our marriage,” Muniz wrote.
Despite the difficult decision, the actor emphasized that the two remain committed to one another as friends and co-parents.
“After 10 beautiful years together, we’ve grown in ways that made us realize our relationship feels most natural and strong as a deep friendship and as co-parents,” he said. “We share an incredible son who remains the center of our world, and we’re both happier, stronger parents because of the love and growth we’ve shared.”
Muniz also expressed gratitude for his wife’s support throughout their relationship, particularly as he transitioned from Hollywood into professional stock car racing.
“She put her own dreams on hold so I could chase mine, and she was always my biggest supporter,” he wrote. “That foundation of respect and friendship isn’t going anywhere.”
The couple plans to continue working together on Muniz Racing, their racing brand and lifestyle platform, while raising their son together.
“We’re closing one chapter with gratitude and opening the next with bright futures ahead, for us as individuals and especially for our son,” Muniz added before asking the public to respect their family’s privacy.
Days after the announcement, Paige appeared to address the attention surrounding the divorce by posting a scripture verse on Instagram. Referencing John 8:7, she wrote, “He who is without sin, cast the first stone.”
Muniz has become increasingly vocal about his Christian faith in recent years. Last September, he declared on social media that he was “proud” to “live for Jesus Christ.”
Earlier, in January 2025, he shared an Instagram video showing himself listening to Pat Barrett’s worship song “Build My Life” before being pulled over by a police officer.
“Hilarious contrast of feeling good praising God, to being pissed off in the matter of minutes,” he joked. “All part of His plan, so you have to trust the good and the bad.”
While the end of a marriage is never easy, Muniz’s recent public statements continue to reflect his desire to trust God through life’s unexpected turns. As he and Paige begin a new chapter centered on co-parenting and friendship, many fans will undoubtedly be praying for wisdom, healing, and peace for their family.
