Dandelions  and violets are considered by most to be the enemies of our perfectly landscaped lawns.  In many other countries people don’t even have lawns with lush grass growing.  They may have rocks or sand, concrete slabs or just plain dirt outside their homes.

I’m a big believer in, “Everything is beautiful in its own way”.  I’m a lover of nature (except for spiders).  Dandelions and violets are so lovely when grasped in the hand of a small child.  When you pass a field of dandelions in full bloom it almost looks like a beautiful golden carpet.  Violets seem to pop up all over the place in the spring.  Who can resist those little purple blooms with the sweet fragrance?

If you look closely at a dandelion, you will see that it has hundreds of tiny petals and little wispy things.  It is quite intricate and ornate; a wonderful creation.  I wonder how much time and care God put in to making this WEED?  Violets come in so many colors and sizes, but the purple are my favorite.

These WEEDS have a way of growing in the most adverse conditions.  They don’t need any special attention.  We don’t have to feed and water them regularly.  And we don’t have to replant them every year.  In fact, they thrive and multiply all on their own.

People should be more like dandelions and violets.  They only need a place to grow.  They depend on God to meet all their needs and never complain.  They somehow manage to bring joy to others without even trying.  And, they don’t worry about anything because they are not dependent on man, but on God alone.  God never  fails.
