Big Brother recap, Sunday September 4, 2011

Will the Fortune Teller have a role to play in tonight's episode?

Tonight’s show begins with a recap of the past week’s events leading to Porsche becoming Head of Household, Rachel winning the Power of Veto and Shelly’s eviction. Five House Guests remain: Rachel, Jordan, Kalia, Porsche and Adam. Adam thinks he has something to prove to Rachel and Jordan. He knows Kalia voted for him in last Thursday’s eviction, so he has once again picked sides. Kalia admits in Diary Room she guessed wrong on who to vote for.

The Head of Household competition began on Day 62 last Thursday with House Guests attempting to stack as many donuts over a peg as they can, crawling through sugary muck on each lap. It becomes quickly obvious that Rachel is winning the competition, well ahead of the other House Guests with Adam in second place. Porsche and Kalia are rooting for Adam but, alas for them, Rachel wins the HoH competition handily.

Rachel and Jordan dance for joy and start plotting, starting with splitting up Kalia and Porsche, the only other alliance in the House with Adam as the floater. Adam confronts Kalia about her voting against him and while she tries to reassure him she’s still with him, he says in Diary Room that “your word to me means absolutely nothing.” He later meets with Porsche and Kalia and all three agree that Rachel will put Kalia and Porsche on the block.

It’s HoH room show-off time for Rachel and we’re reminded of Brendon all over again. Bleh. So, too, thinks Kalia privately in Diary Room. Now that Rachel is back to being the Queen of the House, Kalia visits her. “I don’t know what you’re thinking”, Kalia says and Rachel responds by saying it was a “travesty” that Jeff and Jordan were split up with his departure.

We find out from Rachel that she is a high-risk driver as she talks with Jordan. “I am seriously the spaciest driver ever.” Maybe she would qualify as an astronaut, but the Space Shuttle program is over.

Porsche is the next person to check in with Rachel, hoping to get in the final three. Rachel says she doesn’t know what happened between them, but whoever Rachel decides to keep had better be on Team Rachel. Meanwhile, Adam and Jordan talk. He’s got this fixation for Tori Spelling, which is repeated for us in numerous flashbacks.

Rachel walks into her room and finds a big gold question mark on the wall and two envelopes on the table. Without hesitation, she opens the first card and on a video a lady appears. “Oh my god, it’s Tori Spelling!” Rachel is surprised. On video, Tori waves to Rachel and Rachel waves back. “Oh my god, Adam will freak out!” Again without hesitation, Rachel opens envelope #2. It calls for a celebrity visit and a reminder, “with every temptation comes a consequence.” Well, duh. So Porsche found out earlier, leading to Rachel being where she is now. “A twist would be a nightmare”, she says out loud. And after a wee bit of deliberation (if that much), Rachel walks into the Pandora’s Box room.

From behind a counter appears a chest wiggling hulk dude showing off his muscles and trying to pass off his wares. It’s Mr. Pectacular himself, Jesse, from a previous Big Brother season. “He is not a celebrity,” Rachel says. But then from the front door appears a very pregnant and bright red lipsticked Tori Spelling! Adam freaks out. “Oh, my god, oh my god, oh my god!” he goes nuts. (If you’re in a OMG drinking game, you’ve passed out by now.)

Housemates now have three minutes to grab all of the clothes they can on display in the back yard. Rachel watches them from a video within the Pandora’s Box room. Meanwhile, Jesse piles clothes onto Rachel’s shoulder as she watches. He also does something nobody else has been able to do. He deftly clamps Rachel’s gaping mouth shut! Hmmm, what are these House Guests going to do with all of these clothes? Cheap budget entertainment — not.

Afterward, Adam goes and talks with Rachel and Jordan and tries to convince them he’s with them. No question he’d like to make the final three with them although his chances of winning are slim at best. Given the choice between him, Kalia an Porsche, they seem to favor him the most. They have him in their pockets. They later talk about who to target and nominate. “I don’t know what to do”, Rachel admits to Jordan. She’d better decide soon!

Now it’s time for the nominations. It doesn’t take a genius to figure out who Rachel should nominate, but Rachel’s no genius. Still… there should be no surprises. After picking the keys, she calls for the Nomination meeting. The first key goes to Jordan and the second and only remaining key goes to Adam. Kalia and Porsche are now on the block for eviction.

Next episode will determine who wins the Power of Veto and whether Kalia or Porsche will escape nomination for eviction. Stay tuned!
