Sure, Mark Zuckerberg keeps insisting Facebook is not trying to take over the world through social media, but today Facebook just got into the publishing biz -sort of. Facebook has acquired an ebook company, Push Pop Press. They creative interactive ebooks for iPads. Push Pop has already worked with the likes of Al Gore on a book and the company is looked at as being a start-upwith tremendous potential.

Of course, Facebook has announced that “Facebook isn’t planning to get into the digital book business, but some of the ideas and technology behind Push Pop Press will be integrated with Facebook.”

Hmm…Yes, I believe it will be integrated in a way that it will somehow  publish books. Or help Facebook readers create books increasing the self-publishing trend. Or maybe they will create something that will rival the popularity of all those fan fiction sites.

Would you read a book on Facebook? I mean, if it was something other than “Top Ways to Cheat on Farmville”?
