The Lord is my Shepherd to feed, guide, and shield me, I shall not lack. Psalm 23:1 (Amplified)

I am the Good Shepherd. The Good Shepherd risks and lays down His own life for the sheep. John 10:11 (Amplified)

Bless Israel, your special possession.
Lead them like a shepherd,
and carry them in your arms forever. Psalm 28:9b (NLT)

Dear Shepherd of My Soul,

I’ve never been much of a rancher, and some of your shepherd analogy is lost on this city kid, but I think I catch your drift. You are reaching out to your children as a shepherd reaches for his sheep. You are simply reminding me that you are here for me. You feed me, sustain me, and meet my needs. You watch my back and protect me from predators if I stay within your gates. And, if necessary, you carry me in your arms when I’m weak or sick. Thank you, Good Shepherd. I receive your loving care today.

In Jesus’ Name, Amen
