“I have told you these things so that you will be filled with my joy. Yes, your joy will overflow!”  ~Jesus (John 15:11)

What “things” was Jesus referring to? Living in the love of God and continually loving people. He made is so simple for us. What is the outcome of love? Joy that fills our souls and overflows to those around us. We need to be saturating ourselves with God’s love, and then His joy will spill out from our souls and impact everyone we meet today.

Joy is one of the fruits of the Spirit. When we walk with God, joy is something that grows in us. Let’s do our part to ensure that joy will be alive in us today and that this joy will impact the people in our lives.

Father,

Thank you that You express joy to your children and that you are offering Your joy to me through Jesus. I receive gladness and joy today as I walk in Your love, pondering it and thanking You for it. Joy is mine, and it will drowned out all sadness and depression. You said to Jesus, “You are my dearly loved Son, and you bring me great joy.” Thank You that Jesus has given me His inheritance, and I receive those words over myself right now. I am Your dearly loved child, and I give You great joy.

Joyfully, in Jesus’ Name I pray. Amen
