Libyan protesters are celebrating in the streets of Benghazi today. They claim they’ve secured control  the country’s second largest city. Bloody fighting and anti-government demonstrations have also spread Tripoli, the capital. Protestors have gathered in the city’s main square.

The government is digging in its heels. Moammar Gadhafi’s son vowed today that security forces would fight “until the last bullet.”

Protesters are demanding Gadhafi’s ouster are presently staging new marches in the capital’s main Green Square and at the leader’s residence. This will likely spark a new round of violence.

“God, we pray for a hasty, peaceful transformation in Libya. Remove the blight of terror and treacherous leadership over that nation.  In Jesus’ name…”
