Passion of the Christ” star Jim Caviezel joined the “Prophets and Patriots” podcast promoting his new film “The Sound of Freedom,” where he and the host discussed the difficulties of releasing a film that focuses on human trafficking. Caviezel pointed toward current cultural issues, particularly the pushing of transgenderism, which he equated to “grooming my kids.” He also referred to how 85,000 children have disappeared in the last year, yet there is no focus on finding them. He stated he wanted to use the film as a light to shine on important issues like child sex trafficking and that issues like unprotected borders only heighten the likelihood of children being abused.

Caviezel encouraged filmgoers to support his upcoming film as they did with “Passion,” stating that people don’t want Christian messages to get out. “Christian bigotry is the most accepted form of bigotry, right now, in the world, right now,” he said. “And they are okay with that. Well, not anymore. That’s done.” He went on to add, “You want to put a rainbow flag on Mickey Mouse? That’s fine. I never asked them to put a Star of David, or a Crucifix, or a cross on Mickey’s ears. Why are you doing that? Why are you putting the rainbow flag above the President of the United States? Above the United States flag? Absolutely appalling.” He also warned against leftists, stating that they might go so far as to remove biblical passages that do not support leftist ideals. “This is our Nazis, these are our communists, these are our left that we have to fight, and they want to take down our republic. They are going to take your faith. They are going to take your First Romans.” Romans 1:26 states, “For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise, also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet.”

Caviezel has been pushing for Christians to be more outspoken against child trafficking as he promotes his film. “Our faith is paramount. But it has to have something that comes from it,” he told Faithwire. “You love someone; it’s an action. It’s not what I say. It’s what I do. The problem is, in a lot of this modern-day Christianity, is people … are more afraid of the devil than they are of God.” He encouraged Christians to be bold. “And God could kill the devil without a glance, and so, when I look at someone who might not want to watch this film, I say our love for God’s children has got to be more than our fear of evil. Our love for Jesus has got to be more than our fear of the cross because, at some point, that [persecution] is going to happen,” he said. He and fellow co-star Eduardo Verástegui have also accused Hollywood and “woke media” of complicity in protecting child abusers. “There are many people involved in this crime in every sector. Political sector, worldwide, here, Mexico, worldwide. It’s a global problem,” said Verástegui. “Sound of Freedom” will be released in theaters on July 4th. Tickets can be bought here
