Health Card #22 in The Conscious Living Wisdom Cards (Special Moms’ Edition)
I believe in the holistic nature of our beings. We are not just a body, we are our emotions and our thoughts, we are our awareness, and we are our energy field. We are a microcosm of the macrocosm meaning that our own beings are a reflection of the entire universe with each having all of the elements, attributes and nuances of both the large and the small.
Our health is based on so much more that the physical body and our wellness can be supported by supporting our body’s natural ability to heal. Over time we have become disconnected to this innate ability.
In the health card I talk about a few aspects of health – do you support yourself? How do you support yourself? And for your child, what I talk about is talking into consider all the many things that lend themselves to your child’s health and wellness.
Who takes care of you? Do you? If you do not take care of yourself, you will have nothing to give others when they need you. Look after yourself; make time for yourself. Making time for yourself is essential to living a balanced and healthy life. If you hear yourself saying, “I don’t have time to take care of myself,” it’s a signal to evaluate your priorities. If you’ve drawn this card, reevaluate the state of your health and wellness. Take a look at your diet. Think about what you are choosing to eat. Before you take a bite or a sip, ask, “How does this serve me?” Consider going on a cleanse, investing in a massage, taking Pilates or yoga, or getting more sleep. Your Spirit is saying, “Take care of yourself!”
For Your Child
What we eat, what we think and how we live play a large part in our overall health and wellness. It’s time for a close look at your child’s diet and habits. Help her make choices that promote a healthy mind, body and spirit. Remember that the body is equipped with an amazing ability to maintain, repair and heal itself, when provided with the right tools, including a healthy diet and natural supports such as herbs, homeopathy and nutracuticals. If you don’t have an awareness of natural healing, why not explore it together with your child?
