As fall – the most wonderful time of the year – approaches things will heat up. I’ll be blogging a lot more. Because fall will mean a rapid upturn in political coverage that means I’ll be blogging more on politics too. I’ve always said that I want to write about politics from a spiritual perspective. I want to see how politics, something very temporal, impacts faith, something eternal. That is my angle. That is my concern because I am so deeply concerned about how Jesus’ name is being reduced to the political equivalent of an endorsement, “I love Jesus, vote for me.”

As I write about politics or about anything else, I ask you to hold me to a certain standard. I never, ever want what I write to fall into the “godless chatter” that Paul writes about in 2 Timothy. I want what I write to be edifying.
Thanks.
