Harrison Ford recently celebrated his son Liam, on his graduation from Amherst College, but got candid in a recent interview with Esquire about some of his parenting regrets. The actor opened up about how things may have been different if he had not been a famous actor saying, “I can tell you this: If I’d been less successful, I’d probably be a better parent,” he told Esquire. Ford opened up about his role in AppleTV+’s series “Shrinking” which he stars alongside Jason Segel who plays a therapist with an estranged daughter. He shared in the interview that he saw a few parallels between his character and his real life. “It is a bit of a shock to discover that there are things that a writer can bring to a script that you recognize as a shadow of your own experience. You don’t necessarily actively draw on some specific thing that happened to you — but it’s in the bank, and you want to spend it,” he said.
Ford has five children, His sons Ben, 55, and Willard, 54, are from his first marriage to Mary Marquardt, whom he was married to from 1964-1979. His son Malcolm, 35, and daughter Georgia, 31, come from Ford’s second marriage to Melissa Mathison from 1983-2004. He adopted his son Liam, 22, after he married wife Calista Flockhart. Liam was adopted by Flockhart in 2001 before she met Ford. The pair met in 2009, tying the knot in 2010 where Ford adopted Liam soon after.
