Kristoffer Polaha is known for his acting abilities in TV and film. However, some are unaware of his Christian faith and incredible survival testimony. Famous for his role in “Wonder Woman 1984” and the highly anticipated future film “Jurassic World: Dominion,” Polaha revealed much more about his personal life and faith journey in a recent podcast.

The Reno native was raised in a strong Christian household. However, during his time in high school, his relationship with the Lord started to falter. His wavering commitment resulted in a faith hiatus that went on for years. With his relationship with God still on a break, Polaha later moved to New York City to attend college. One day, his world turned upside down after a life-changing moment that revived his faith.

On what seemed to be an ordinary day, Polaha and his friend were walking down the city’s streets, unaware that they would soon have a near-death experience with an explosion.

“The grate in the sidewalk blows open; we’re engulfed in a fireball,” Polaha reminisced on the traumatizing moment, pointing out that the explosion projected their bodies in the air. “The next thing I know, I’m standing in the first lane of traffic, and I’ve got blood all on my chest.”

The explosion left Polaha with facial injuries that needed several stitches, but he and his friend survived the almost fatal events. The actor shared in the podcast interview that his incredible survival reignited his faith in the Lord.

“I started praying fervently,” he recalled. “That was the moment that I decided that I wanted God.”

Today, Polaha is a successful actor with a faith that is stronger than ever. He hopes to inspire others and spread his faith through his kind heart.

“My mission field is set,” the actor explained. “I get to go to work and if I’m nice and if I’m on time and I know my lines, and I’m kind, and I start reflecting God’s love that becomes a fragrance for people to walk up to me and be like, ‘Why are you different?'”

Polaha’s goal to embody the fruits of the spirit goes beyond himself. He also hosts “The Polaha Chautauqua,” an original Instagram video series where he takes a deep dive into different Biblical topics that resonate with today’s issues. The Instagram Live show that occurs every Sunday aims to inspire and direct as many people as possible toward faith.

“This is the easiest way that I know to give back,” the host spoke of his encouraging show. “And it’s been a lot of fun.”
