In a surprise twist, Bachelor star Peter Weber chooses Madison Prewett after breaking up with fiancé Hannah Ann Sluss.

It appeared that Weber made his final choice when the finale aired. But following the show’s final episode, things took a turn.

During Weber’s follow-up appearance with Sluss, he admitted he was still holding on to feelings for Madison Prewett and they broke off the engagement.  Weber was elated when he found out Prewett was open to giving him a second chance.

Prewett, who was a fan-favorite, was not afraid to open up about her faith. She disclosed the importance of not only family, but her true devotion to Christ during her one-on-one date with Weber.

“Faith is more than just this passed-down thing to me, it’s literally my whole life and all of who I am. I want, in a marriage, someone who also has that relationship with the Lord and loves that about me and wants to raise a family in that way. And I do want to know that we’re able to be on the same page with that and push each other in that way and grow in that way together,” Prewett said.

She also talked about how her father, Chad Prewett, who is the director of operations for Auburn University’s basketball team, led her family through their faith. She was open from the beginning about wanting the same from her future spouse.

“I look up to my dad so much, and I’ve said I wanted someone who will remind me of my dad, somebody who embodies the same qualities and characteristics. I’ve watched the way my dad has loved my mom and loved my family and the way that he has such a strong relationship with the Lord is the way he’s able to love our family so well,” Prewett continued.

While ABC cut Prewett’s faith confession from airing, it seemed to be something that Weber was drawn to, so much so that he said her faith inspired him. This one of the reasons he began falling for her.

In a later episode, Prewett shares that she is saving herself for marriage. She eventually opened up to Weber, explaining how him sleeping with another contestant would be difficult for her.

“If he sleeps with anybody else, it’s gonna be hard for me to continue to move forward,” Prewett said.

This is not the first time previous contestants and stars of the show have been open about their faith. Bachelor star Ben Higgins is a great example. He made headlines for his open discussions about his faith.

Higgins told People.com, “I set boundaries for myself, especially physically and intimately.”

When Higgins appeared on Kaitlyn Bristowe’s Bachelorette season he said that he was “excited to stay up all night and talk.”

In his People.com interview Higgins said, “I based [the boundaries] on my Christian faith and also the fact that a lot of people are going to be watching this show and seeing a representation of dating, relationships and how a man treats a woman. I want them to get a good picture of what a healthy relationship can be.”

It’s great to see that contestants like Prewett could hold true to their Christian values.
