Golden Globe Awards SignRicky Gervais will host the 73rd annual Golden Globe Awards airing Sunday, January 10th, 2016.

The nominations were released in December 2015. For Best Motion Picture the nominees are Carol, Mad Max: Fury Road, The Revenant, Room and Spotlight. Also, there is no doubt that new besties Jennifer Lawrence and Amy Schumer will playfully mock each other as they go against each other for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy.

Entertainment websites are scouring the internet with their predictions. Many are choosing Outlander to take home the award for Best Drama Series, Mozart in the Jungle for Best Comedy or Musical Series, and Jeffrey Tambor for Best Actor in a comedy or musical series – which if you’ve watched Transparent Tambor is hands down the best choice. Fargo is rumored to be the soon-to-be winner for Best TV Movie or Miniseries. Also, there is also a lot of buzz circulating around Lady Gaga for her role on American Horror Story: Hotel and Regina King’s supporting role on American Crime.

And somewhere in the audience will be proud papa Jamie Foxx. Earlier in November Corinne Foxx, the eldest daughter of Foxx, was announced as Miss Golden Globe 2016. Mel Gibson, who’s been the subject to many Golden Globe jokes, will appear as a presenter at this year’s ceremony. It will definitely be an interesting awards ceremony with great films and actors up against each other for this year’s honors.
