After months of speculation, it seems that Barbara Walters is set to name actress Sherri Shepherd as a co-host of “The View.” The formal announcement is expected Monday. While we who slave away in offices all day to bring you the very latest in faith-in-entertainment news are not able to watch the morning gabfest regularly, we were heartened to know that show is bringing in another person of faith–Christian faith, specifically. In a 2006 interview with Beliefnet, Shepherd said:

I believe in Jesus Christ as my Lord and savior. I believe that Jesus died for my sins, and rose again, and that’s my belief. I still don’t know what “Christian” means. I’m a follower of Christ, but I keep making a whole bunch of mistakes. And I thank God for forgiveness. I don’t know what Christian means. I keep falling down. I get back up. I’m trying to stay in the race.

Looks like she’s winning that race. More power to her. To read the whole interview, click here.
