I rarely listen to country music but I was in the car with darling husband today when Bucky Covington’s new song, “A Father’s Love” came on the radio.”Wait, I know this song,” I said. “But it doesn’t sound like this. Is this a remake or something?”Darling husband assured me that he’d only ever heard this version, but I knew this wasn’t the song I’d heard. And then it hit me: I heard Christian country act High Valley sing the song at GMA in 2009. And I loved it.I also loved this trio of brothers, but admit that I’m behind on news about them. They’ve been featured on CMT’s 4 Tracks, played at the Vancouver Winter Olympics, and were featured in Billboard Magazine. So just for kicks, I thought I’d share the video of them again. Covington’s taken the song to #25 on the country charts so far. Here’s his version:You can learn more about High Valley on their website.
