Reuters reports that Chris Brown, arrested last week for allegedly attacking pop singer Rihanna , has issued a statement regarding the incident:
“Words cannot begin to express how sorry and saddened I am over what transpired,” he said. “I am seeking the counseling of my pastor, my mother and other loved ones and I am committed, with God’s help, to emerging a better person.”

Brown also said in his statement that much of what has been written on blogs and reported in the media is incorrect, and they he has not made any posts to Facebook or written messages on blogs.
Both performers were scheduled to appear at the Grammys but after the incident, neither attended.
