sun1.jpgThe sparkling Janice Taylor of the Our Lady of Weight Loss blog feels strongly that skipping breakfast is not a good idea. She further believes that dehydration can cause irritability and headaches. To solve both problems (feed two birds with one seed, as it were), she offers a lovely, hydrating breakfast smoothie recipe:

1 medium ripe banana, peeled
3/4 cup pineapple juice (no sugar added; natural juice)
1/2 cup plain low-fat or no-fat yogurt
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup strawberries, rinsed, stems removed

Break banana into small pieces and put in the blender with the pineapple juice, yogurt, vanilla extract and strawberries. Blend until smooth. Divide between two glasses.
