A recent report in the Journal of Gerontology said that we’re living longer by an average of one extra year in the past decade, we are also experiencing almost two extra years of diseases.

Yes, we may be living longer, but we’re not much healthier in later age, with CHD (coronary heart disease), cardiovascular diseases (strokes, high blood pressure, hardening of the arteries, etc.) diabetes and cancer.

Why? Not because we’re taking better care of ourselves, but because we have such good medicines and medical care.

I just wanted to share this information with you, in the hopes and recommendations that you will do everything possible to be healthy.  Eat healthfully, limit stress, exercise regularly, be loving and kind, and pray, pray, pray.

Very importantly, in addition to seeing your maker, see you doctor on a regular basis – before you’re sick.  Ask what preventative measures you can take right now to live a long, healthy and happy life.
