We heard on Monday that Weight Watchers has made a change in their program. Their “Points” system has now been revised and replaced by e “Points Plus” program, which encourages more fruits and vegetables.

Weight Watchers has had a point system for several years that has been used by millions of customers. Similar to the American Diabetes Association’s exchange system, it’s all about keeping track of what and how much you eat, based on adding up “points.” The more fat and calories in the food, the higher the points. Each person has an allocated limit of points per day.

Now, they have made fruits and vegetable zero points. That’s so customers will eat more of them, and less of the higher caloric foods. Simple. Right.

I’m glad to hear this. I’ve been saying this for decades. Fill yourself up with low fat (or no fat) and low caloric vegetables and fruits, and you’ll have more energy, and will lose weight and maintain it. Eat less meats, fat-laden sides and desserts, and be careful of sugar.

If you do much research as to why Weight Watcherrs is so successful you’ll discover it’s not about the food or diets. It’s about the RELATIONSHIPS we make at their meetings! Have friends, and human connections with others who are also working to lose weight and become healthy, and it will happen.

Get your emotions out, and maintain a connection and purpose in life, and then everything falls into place!

The one element missing in their otherwise really good program is the spiritual component. Tend your love and appreciation for God, and then your whole life will be excellent in every way.
