Are you worried about everything?  Is anxiety taking-over your thoughts, or even causing you to expend a lot of energy just trying to get calm?  You’re not alone!
We’re in a highly stressful era.  Many of us are struggling financially.  Many are without work.  Some of us are working multiple jobs, just to make ends meet.  We’re taught to buy and consume as much as we possibly can, and too many have gone into debt to accommodate our excessive desires.
What to do?  I have some suggestions:
Instead of overeating to feel better, take time to breathe, drink fresh water, and pray.
Analyze and identify what’s truly upsetting you.  Dig deep, and find the roots of the concerns.  Write them down.  Get them outside of you onto paper, at least, instead of obsessing or consternating.
Confess your worries and anxieties to trusted friends, or a counselor or clergy.
Close your eyes and meditate.
Go outside and experience nature.
Form a plan to recover from your problems: take it slow, one step at a time.  Break the problem and its solution into lots of baby steps, and do one every day.  Actually write everything down – you’ll feel better through taking action.
If these simple actions don’t help, and your anxieties are unmanageable, by all means seek some professional help.  Ask your doctor.
