It’s simple: if you’re trying to lose weight, or maintain a healthy weight or weight loss – stick to a diet, perhaps – drinking and smoking pot make it hard or darn right impossible.
It’s a fact:  alcohol is high calorie stuff.  Made from various grains or fruits, alcohol is by definition carbohydrates.  Drinking a glass of wine can bring lots of sugar into your body.  Drinking vodka, gin, scotch, etc. is even more caloric.  Beer? Forget about it!
It’s a fact: smoking marijuana (pot) may not have calories itself, but it tends to dramatically lower the blood sugar levels causing most smokers to greatly overeat.  Once high, resistance to overeating is diminished or gone.  A high guy will do anything to eat more pie!  It’s called “the munchies.”
So if you’re on a weight loss campaign, you may also need to also be on a quit drinking and stop smoking pot crusade.  Those habits will do nothing to help your healthy inspiration.
These habits, if in full gear, could be exactly the reason you are overweight.  Think about it.
