The cast of the NBC show “30 Rock” has teamed up with American Express to create a series of “Holiday Fun Times” ads that poke fun at the absurd lengths we often must go to in order to keep the spirit of the holidays alive in a multi-cultural age.
The videos show the office, led by the ultra-earnest Kenneth, participating in a “Secret Rodney” exchange (“because Secret Santa is too…awesome!” says Kenneth). Kenneth also creates a public holiday display, but assures his nervous boss that it’s not a Christmas display but a “winter fun decoration.” “That atheist is a snowman,” Kenneth explains, “and that’s a golf ball in the manger.”
You can view the videos by clicking here, but you must be an American Express cardmember to see the spots in their entirety. Non-cardmembers can watch snippets of the videos.
