An 83-year-old woman in Montague, Mass. is about to find out what her community is made of, ABC News is reporting. On Friday, she was loading bags into her car outside of a drug store when a freak gust of wind set her shopping cart, and the purse and cane it contained, rolling. The cart rolled with such force that it lodged into the back of a delivery truck, whose unsuspecting driver proceeded to pull out onto a busy thoroughfare.

Eventually, the purse blew open, scattering the $1,100 she had withdrawn for her Christmas shopping to the wind. Though her cane was recovered, little of the cash was found, and people were seen grabbing at the bills as they floated through the air.
Police are asking that people return the money. “We’re hoping people will do the right thing,” police Sgt. Charles Dodge said.
