Actor Quinton Aaron, best known for his role as Michael Oher in The Blind Side, is opening up about a life-altering moment he says brought him face-to-face with Jesus—and changed his faith forever.

Earlier this year, Aaron was hospitalized after suffering a near-fatal stroke caused by a severe blood infection. The situation quickly turned critical, and doctors placed him on life support for four days. During that time, Aaron says he “coded” multiple times, meaning he experienced medical emergencies that required resuscitation.

But what he experienced during that period, he says, went far beyond the physical.

“I saw Jesus,” Aaron told TMZ, describing a vivid encounter that continues to stay with him. He recalled seeing Jesus from the side, with long white hair, wearing a white robe that gave off a “golden glow.” According to Aaron, the figure approached him and placed His hands directly on his back, right where he had been experiencing intense pain.

“He appeared in front of me and placed his hands on my back exactly where the pain was,” Aaron said. “‘Til this day, I can still feel his hands as if they’re there.”

In that moment, Aaron says, the pain disappeared.

When he later learned that he had coded during his hospital stay, the experience took on even deeper meaning. “It made so much sense to me,” he said. “It was like instead of it feeling like just a vision, it was like, no, you died… And God brought me back.”

Aaron believes the encounter wasn’t just a vision—it was a divine intervention. He said doctors ultimately determined he would not need surgery, something he attributes to being healed. “It feels like I was given a second chance,” he shared, adding that the experience has “increased my faith.”

This wasn’t the first time Aaron had faced a serious health scare that led him to reflect on his life. In 2021, he described having a “come to Jesus” moment after collapsing near a waterfront due to diabetic ketoacidosis, a dangerous complication from extremely high blood sugar. That experience prompted him to make major lifestyle changes, including losing more than 200 pounds.

Looking back, Aaron now sees a clear thread running through these moments—what he believes is God calling him to something greater. “There was more to do,” he said, reflecting on his survival.

For many believers, Aaron’s story is a powerful reminder of God’s presence even in the darkest moments. Whether through healing, second chances, or renewed purpose, his testimony points to a faith tested—and strengthened—by unimaginable circumstances.

As Aaron continues his recovery, his message is one of hope: that even in the face of death, God is near—and not finished yet.
