One of the things I’ve wanted to do with Dadequate is point readers toward cool stuff to experience online with your kids. I’m always on the lookout for great videos that aren’t necessarily made for kids but which we can enjoy together.

Now there’s a great curatorial site that exists for that very purpose: to find kid-appropriate Internet stuff (videos, books, photos) for parents and children.

It’s called The Kid Should See This, and it’s run by veteran photoblogger Rion Nakaya:

There’s just so much science, nature, music, arts, technology, storytelling and assorted good stuff out there that my kids (and maybe your kids) haven’t seen. It’s most likely not stuff that was made for them…

But we don’t underestimate kids around here.

I’m excited about this site, which so far includes slo-mo footage of Jello dropping onto a flat surface and conceptual animation of the new Mars rover, plus a whole lot more.
