My son recently lost a tooth. We put his tooth under his pillow, and magically that night the Tooth-Fairy appeared to exchange the tooth for three one dollar bills. My son awoke, and was instantaneously filled with joy. The next day, however, my oldest daughter proclaimed to me – “I know you are the Tooth-Fairy – Just as I know you are Santa Clause.”

It got me thinking about the myths we have created. Myths about single people doing tremendous things – Myths about special people bringing joy to others.

But who are these special people? As my daughter said – There is no singular “Tooth-Fairy.” There is no singular “Santa-Clause.” We are the “Tooth-Fairy.” We are the “Santa Clause.” We are the “special people.”

Let’s remember, now, tomorrow and everyday that: WE ARE THE SPECIAL PEOPLE WE CREATED TO BRING JOY TO THE WORLD – THERE IS NO ONE ELSE TO DO IT.
