Our spiritual beliefs are important, in part, because they form our associations. Our associations, in turn, help form who we become. Who and what we associate with come in many forms. Many of us associate with traditional religion, and create ourselves on a traditional path. Many of us search beyond tradition and look to create ourselves anew – in our own image.

Movies are a wonderful medium through which we “associate.” In the past five years, over 20 million faith-based movies have been rented through Netflix. The numbers are outstanding. We are searching to consciously create ourselves. We are searching to create the world anew.

But who are the searchers? From where do they come? What movies are they watching?
