The Omega Institute and Shambhala Sun magazine have organized an exciting two day workshop on “Fear and Fearlessness” from a Buddhist perspective, June 22-24, 2007, in Rhinebeck, New York.

“We explore how fear can be a source of growth rather than something to avoid,” the promotional materials say. “As a result, we can discover the courage it takes to help make the world a better place to live.” Robert Thurman, scholar and practitioner of Tibetan Buddhism, will keynote along with teachers Sylvia Boorstein, L.C.S.W., Ph.D., John Daido Loori, Judith Lief, and Traleg Kyabgon Rinpoche. The cost is $335, plus meals, housing and transport.
