I watched two episodes of Man, Woman, Wild over the weekend and found it to be fairly wild.

It takes some time to suspend your belief or disbelief that a couple, including a former Special Forces survival expert and ex-TV journalist, are in imminent danger as they take on the forces of nature.

If you can just let go, and the situations are pretty compelling, the Discovery series seems pretty good.

Although the couple (Mykel Hawke and Ruth England) would have help if they needed to survive being stranded out at sea in only a small boat or dealing with a fast-moving brush fire they appear to really try to tough things out on their own.

From building mud huts to figuring out how to create filters to make  drinking water….Man, Woman, Wild airs some interesting stuff.

The show even goes to the point of him needing, ahem, “nursing care” … I don’t care to be more specific than that … or feasting on an armadillo … “good meat” according to both diners.

Sounds good to me … I have been waiting for the day I’ll see shredded armadillo on menus in my local area.

Heck, with ranch or honey mustard … it all tastes about the same, anyway!
