As the days are short and the nights are long, the world seems to draw inward and turn its eyes inside to the inner realm of the spirit. In this dark, silence one can hear the whisperings of the heart. The heart speaks ever in a still, small voice. It does not scream above the din of the TV, traffic and chatter. It will not roar out to be listened to. But if one turns an attentive ear towards it, much will be revealed. It will speak of desires of the spirit, yearnings that transcend the desires for things. It will tell you what you can do to nurture it and grow more deeply in tune with its rhythms.

What a joy it is to move into the silent night and be fully in sync with the rhythms of the spirit. The heart flutters with joy and fills with delight. The silent night is far from empty. It is full of vital energy and light waiting to come into you if you will just say, “Yes!”
