What a bunch of hypocritical narcissists.

CNN’s President Jeff Zucker blamed President Trump and White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders for the series of bomb threats that surfaced on Wednesday.

“There is a total and complete lack of understanding at the White House about the seriousness of their continued attacks on the media,” Mr. Zucker said in a statement.

“The President, and especially the White House Press Secretary, should understand their words matter. Thus far, they have shown no comprehension of that,” he continued.

Both the president and Mrs. Sanders condemned the attempted attacks.

“We’re extremely angry, upset, unhappy about what we witnessed this morning,” Mr. Trump said Wednesday afternoon. “We will get to the bottom of it.”

CNN’s headquarters in the Time Warner building was evacuated in the middle of live coverage Wednesday morning when NYPD discovered what appeared to be a “live device.” An envelope with white powder was also found at the scene.

Over the last couple of years, hundreds of Trump supporters have been pummeled by leftist thugs for no other reason but that the victims are Trump supporters.  In at least one case, the case of the Republican softball team that a zealot Bernie Sanders supporter shot up last year, this rage led to attempted mass murder. There can be no question that the Trump-hating media not only fueled this vitriol, but ignited it, for if not for the Fake News regarding the 45th President that it tirelessly peddles, none of this virulent animosity would likely have ever existed.

For years, these same media figures who are now whining and crying over allegedly being targeted spared no occasion to convince black Americans that they were forever being victimized by their white counterparts, a strategy designed to advance the interests of the party to which most of the media belong, but which had the effect of inspiring racially-based violence against whites that is shocking for both its frequency and brutality.

In the era of Trump, the drama queens and divas of the left continually overplay their hand. Their readiness to exploit these so-called bomb threats for the sake of attacking the President makes it all but certain that the threats are false flags.

I suspect that like the Brett Kavanaugh debacle and the “caravan” of invaders coming from south of the border, this too will—no pun intended—blow up in their collective face.

Martial Arts as War (MAW) and Martial Arts as Sport (MAS)—these are the two paradigms that, by and large, define the contemporary universe of the martial arts. Or so I have argued in previous essays. Now, it’s true, of course, that—as my own Master-Instructor observed to me in one of our countless conversations over this […]

As I was at pains to show in a previous essay, far too many self-defense instructors within the world of the martial arts ignore the contextual considerations that inform every training modality. There is, however, one system that recognizes that—to paraphrase Pindar, the lyric poet quoted by the ancient Greek historian Herodotus—context is king. The […]

In a previous essay, I noted that the vast majority of human beings, irrespectively of their circumstances of place and time, uncritically embrace whatever the prevailing paradigm happens to be. As long as “the Experts” inform (or misinform) them of X, they, without thinking twice, accept that X is indeed true. Matters are no different […]

The idea of systemic racism is one that has been critiqued in this column in the past. That being said, it is worth noting that if ever the case for systemic racism could be made, it is now, in the era of COVID as Social Distancing protocols, mask mandates, and vaccine mandates have been imposed […]
