lativia 2011 021I was looking for the history of labyrinths and found many sites about labyrinths. “Labyrinths are temples that enhance and balance and bring a sense of the sacred – a place where we can confirm our unity with the cosmos, awaken our vital force and elevate our consciousness.” During the middle ages, pilgrims walked the labyrinths as part of their spiritual journey. There is evidence of labyrinths 3500 years ago.

I love creating labyrinths and Saturday we created this beautiful one in Latvia on the sands of the Baltic Sea. I find walking a labyrinth a wonderful way to connect with my divinity and with our angelic helpers.

At home I put an angel at each turn around in my labyrinth.

There are on line labyrinths and many churches have installed labyrinths. The twists and turns of a labyrinth are a wonderful reflection of our own spiritual paths. When I walk my labyrinth I pause as I pass each angel, touch its head, allow myself to be infused with love and then move on.  What a wonderful way to move through life.

As I was looking for my favorite on-line labyrinth I noticed that the site had also added angel chants. I love Gregorian style chants and as I wrote this post I enjoyed listening. After the chimes the singing begins. Guess we could do the same thing in our lives. Practice celebrating today because tomorrow never comes because by the time tomorrow gets here ii is today!

However we choose to connect with God, goddess, Great Spirit, angels or whatever we call the divine adding gratitude deepens that connection. May you have a blessed day and remember there really are angels on your shoulders. It is up to you to notice them and allow their love in. Blessed be….
