I was just sent a copy of Doreen Virtue’s new book Archangels 101 to review. It is wonderful and in the coming weeks I will share bits and pieces of it with you. I would highly recommend getting a copy for yourself. It is a great tool, filled with love, wisdom and insight.

In the introduction she says, “We don’t pray to archangels or worship them. We work with archangels simply because they are God’s intended gift for us all and part of God’s plan for peace.”

Part of why we work with archangels or angels for that matter is because they are closer to us energetically and easier for us to perceive. What I feel most often when I work with angels is the warmth of their love.

If you are having trouble connecting with angels imagine yourself watching a beautiful sunset and allowing yourself to be filled with its beauty. Then ask your angels to help you feel their presence. If you have an open heart and a willingness you will feel them. Spiritual practices take practuce so practice feeling the presence of your angels until it is second nature.

We can watch a sunset and not feel a thing. We can worry about our life instead or be so busy telling ourselves we don’t feel anything that we don’t. Angels are a lot like that. I used to have a picture of a man watching a beautiful sunset on the bulletin board in my office with a caption, “I wonder where I put my car keys.”

When you want to connect with the angels allow yourself to be present enough to hear them and feel their love. They are always there because after all you do have angels on your shoulder.

With love and aloha,
Susan
