I have Google alerts set so once a day I get a listing of mentions of angels as well as a few other words. Today I got a link to a website of a mother mourning the loss of her son. I was very touched by her honestly and openness.

Here is a short quote that really made me think. I have so much to be grateful for and I was deeply touched by how grief was able to allow these two woman to connect: If we allow our hearts to be open all of life’s ordinary moments, even garage sales become incredible opportunities to share and love and expand our awareness of the divine.

“Angel statues Really, anything angels. Ever since Jack died, angel items
have a way of finding me. One such example is when I went to a garage
sale with friends. I found a pretty gold angel ornament holding a green
crystal heart which is Jacks birthstone. I took it to buy it and I
explained to the woman that I had just lost my baby and this reminded me
of him. She said to me “I bought that ornament in honor of my special
baby girl too. She was born and died in May. I buy two of every angel I
see, one for home and one for her grave”. She then proceeded to give me
the a second of the same ornament she had. She told me to take them, no
charge.”

Today is my birthday. My mom lost several babies before she had me and almost lost me several times. Life is such a precious gift. I have often felt my potential siblings around me like a guiding light of love.

Ordinary moments are the most precious of all because they are ordinary and because they happen each and every day. They are even more special when we allow ourselves to fully experience them.

Remember to allow yourself to savor each moment because you never know when your physical body will cease to exist, life is after all a fatal disease. We all leave our bodies eventually.Today is the anniversary of my birth and I intend to savor all of it.

Happy September 27th to you, may you savor every moment of today and make each ordinary moment special, now and always!

With love and aloha,
Susan
