Aloha,

I got an e-mail today from someone who is taking care of a parent with Alzheimer’s, a task I am very familiar with. She asked me what she could do to make her life easier and I answered love, simply love. Part of loving oneself is asking for help.

I am teaching a series of workshops here in Lithuania and the other day I talked about the power and the gift of being of service. It is a gift to both the giver and the receiver when you are of service. Perhaps you could create a ‘be an angel exchange’ within your group of friends.

It is very simple. You could create an angel exchange with a few friends by putting up a sign at a local health food store or at your place of worship. You could exchange childcare, fix meals for one another, help care for each other in hundreds of small ways.

By practicing being of service, you can both give and receive. You could exchange hundreds of small daily chores and, in the process, get a day off while giving someone else a day off.

It could be fun and really add to the quality of your life. Try it for a week and let me know how it goes!

With love and aloha,
Susan

You are an angel in training and you are surrounded by loving helpers.
