Serenity in an Age of Anxiety

Purpose provides a reason to get out of bed in the morning.  It is a context for goals and a reason to go on when a goal is met.  Saving the whales or winning the Olympics are goals, not purpose. A purpose provides the why for the goal and the impetus to go on…

“Most people who come to see me want to find their calling, “ reported Shoshanna, a counselor who works with adults. She and two of her self-employed friends were chatting over dinner about work. “The idea that you need a calling makes people unhappy and is completely untrue. A job puts food on the…

Part 2 The number of people with anxiety has exploded over the last decade or so. What was a once a challenge for some has elevated to a disability for many. Through my practice, I noticed better diet, more sleep, supplements, therapy and exercise improved symptoms, but no combination of these helped enough. No matter…

I am a clinical nutritionist that specializes in complex cases. The average patient who contacts me has consulted 4 or 5 medical practitioners and specialists already. about

Kelly Dorfman

Kelly is an award-winning author and speaker who has been featured on CNN’s American Morning and other news programs, as well as in articles in The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post and Oprah Magazine. In addition to her work as a clinical nutritionist, she leads workshops on resolving relationship conflicts and anxiety using principles of wholeheartedness. Kelly also directed an intuition training program for doctors and medical professionals for ten years and co-founded a non-profit to support families of children with developmental delays.

After decades of clinical practice using targeted nutrition therapy to tackle complex medical problems, she wanted to focus on problems created by the mind beyond biochemistry. She noticed the mind seems to create endless obstacles to happiness and peace of mind no matter how committed a person is to these goals. Anger, fear, anxiety and loneliness are symptoms the mind needs help as well as opportunities to remember who we really are and why we are here. Kelly is writing a second book tentatively titled, Love in an Age of Anxiety.
