My friends at DC Stop Modern Slavery are working to spread the word about IJM’s effort to collect 25,000 signers to petition President Obama to increase funding to fight human trafficking and modern slavery.

While many realize the need to scale back government funding in many areas, this is one area that cannot be cut back. With thousands of trafficking victims entering our borders each year, we should be morally compelled to stand up and make this a priority.

Here’s your chance.

Click, sign, share. But do it fast. It is being sent soon. Let your voice be heard.

Thanks,

Dillon

We’re in the final days of the International Justice Mission’s campaign to
convince President Obama to increase funding to the state Department’s
Office to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons and to give the TIP
Office a higher profile throughout the State Department and U.S.
embassies abroad by among other things promoting its coordinator,
Ambassador Louis CdeBaca, to the equivalent of Assistant Secretary of
State.

You can help by signing ICM’s petition on the matter  (http://bit.ly/g4c7EO)
before March 10. We’re looking for 25,000 signatures and we’re nearly
80 percent of the way there. Help us get the rest of the way!
