Chilled apple cider or juice 1 quart
Chilled orange juice 2 cups
Honey ¼ cup
Grated orange rind 2 teaspoons

  1. Combine all ingredients and shake to blend.
  2. Pour over ice in tall glasses.
  3. Optional: Garnish with mint sprig, apple slice, or long peel of orange.

Water Before Meals May Promote Weight Loss

A randomized trial found that drinking water before main meals led to higher weight loss than those who were asked to imagine a full stomach before main meals. Water preloading is believed to help create a feeling of fullness or satiety during the meal, which may help curb overeating.
