Let’s terminate him. Obamacare Death Panels said we could. No, lets wait to see if we can get anymore tax outta him!

Chief Justice John Roberts led the Supreme Court’s 5-4 decision upholding President Obama’s sweeping health care law.
The president is expected to speak later today on the ruling that supports the core legislative accomplishment of his administration. The court decided that the individual mandate that requires all Americans to have health insurance will stand and is considered a tax by the court, making it constitutional. Chief Justice John Roberts wrote about the individual mandate, citing the taxing clause: “It is reasonable to construe what Congress has done as increasing taxes on those who have a certain amount of income, but choose to go without insurance. Such legislation is within Congress’ power to tax.” The court also ruled that the federal government may not remove Medicaid funding from states that refuse to take part.

Voting to uphold the Affordable Care Act were Roberts and Justices Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Stephen Breyer, Sonia Sotomayor and Elena Kagan.

The dissenters were Justices Antonin Scalia, Anthony Kennedy, Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito. (CNN Breaking News)

Watchwoman Opinion:  First mine, after all, I write and assemble this blog.  I wanted Obamacare struck down, utterly. I figured that was just about as possible as Obama announcing he was not entitled to be the US president since he was born in Kenya, or Leno and Letterman telling jokes that knocked Obama, or the head of the Democrat Party repenting after admitting they were anti-American communists and that at this convention they would be adopting a whole new platform that supported free enterprise, would restore the military to hold court martial trials for all fornicators including sodomites and lesbians as they did in the 1950′s, 60′s, etc., that they would be supporting all pro-life organizations and they would be working to halt immediately the legalization of abortion and sodomite legalized unions.  ~§~  So, let me begin with the explicit statement, I am extremely disappointed.  It looks to me like Roberts didn’t want to be involved and he shoved it back to Congress.    §  I think that far too many people in DC on both sides of the isle want Obamacare because of the control it gives to the government (themselves) — and that once we get bad law, it is impossible to get rid of it.  As far as Roberts calling it a tax, please name just ONE tax that has ever been repealed?  ~§~  I don’t think that the U.S. Government has for many years  been serving the people, it serves itself — ever increasingly expanding it’s control and power over the people – and as we see our freedoms erode, we do nothing but sit back, take a deep breath, suck it up and swallow  it all saying, “Oh, well, what can I do about it?  Might just as well go along to get along.  Ho hum.”  Then we snap on the TV talking heads and listen to how wonderful communism is — and the vast majority of people never give it another thought, instead the men focusing on who will be the next pick in the next draft for the next pro-team and the women wondering what Oprah will talk about tomorrow.  The kiddies and teens, well, their brains will be indoctrinated from 9 to 3 in the classroom about how wonderful every thing the government can do for them — and how it’s getting better every day as long as we continue to adopt more and more socialism into our laws — and on Saturday morning the kiddie cartoons will continue the brainwashing.  Lady Gaga and all of Hollyweird will continue to titillate them sexually and confirm what the mass media is teaching their parents to accept.  And — the pastors will make sure their retirements are safe, not preaching against sin and allow their congregations to rest easy in the pews while the rest of America is sleeping.  A few of us, like myself, will blog on this and most of America will say, “Oh, that will never happen.”  No one believed us when we said that death panels are included in Obamacare — and they won’t believe it until they are knocked off into oblivion — of course then it will be too late . . . oblivion won’t be oblivion, but heaven or hell — but they won’t believe that either, at least not until it happens — and then it will be too late for their everlasting eternity residence of their own choosing — heaven or hell — praising God or burning in eternal torment.  When will they ever learn?  ▬ Donna Calvin

Matthews Slimes: John Roberts Doesn’t Want to Be Like Slave Judge Behind Dred Scott According to liberal MSNBC anchor Chris Matthews, Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts being the fifth vote to strike down Obamacare would make him the “second Roger Taney,” the Civil War-era high judge who delivered the majority opinion in the Dred Scott Case and upheld the Fugitive Slave Act. Talking to Washington Post columnist Ezra Klein, Matthews smeared, “…A friend of mine, who is a fellow Roman Catholic said, he doesn’t want to be the second Roger Taney.”  Matthews added, ” Roger Taney, of course, was a Roman Catholic who upheld the Fugitive Slave Law back before the Civil War and was villainized throughout history because of that.”

Individual Mandate A “Tax?” Romney Given A Major Issue

by Steven The Obamacare decision is in with Bush appointee John Roberts siding with the liberals in ruling it constitutional. The mandate it appears will be declared a “tax” and thus it doesn’t fall under the Commerce Clause. It’s the most absurd of rulings, a complete cop out that ignores what the mandate actually is. Even Obama said it isn’t a tax. In calling it a tax, the Court suggests that individuals can simply “opt out” and refuse to pay it. And what, have 100 Fed agents on our doorstep demanding money? Ridiculous. So much for President Bush appointing conservatives to the bench. These Supreme Court appointments matter and Bush completely dropped the ball with Roberts. It would have been even worse had Alito not replaced the pathetic Harriet Miers.

With all of this in mind, expect Obama to gloat. But also expect the Tea Party to rise up in protest, backing Romney with vengeance. Romney’s campaign has been doing pretty good so far, they’ve not run into any major gaffes recently. Expect Romney to get a slight boost in terms of support as Tea Partiers who may be sitting on the sidelines suddenly join the Romney fray. Obamacare is still opposed by over 50% of the country, so Romney clearly has an issue to play with here. This could be the issue that puts him over the top, Obamacare remains unpopular.
