Over the years, there certainly has been a cottage industry that developed out of discussing all spiritual aspects of the world of Harry Potter. As Harry Potter frenzy hits an all itme  high with the movie finale, I thought now would be a good time to come up with a list of some of the best books I have read on all things Potter, in case any Potter fans out there have missed them. May they inspire you and help you find comfort as you leave Hogwarts behind.

The Deathly Hallows Lectures: The Hogwarts Professor Explains the Final Harry Potter Adventure by John Granger

Granger has written more about Harry Potter than any author I can think of and all of his books are great, but this one specifically focuses on the contrversial final chapter of the saga.

One Fine Potion:The Literary Magic of Harry Potter  by Greg Garrett

Perhaps the most academic of the books on my little list, it is also a favorite of mine becuase of the amazing amount of research and thought that goes into this volume.

The Gospel According to Harry Potter: The Spiritual Journey of the World’s Greatest Seeker Revised and Expanded by Connie Neal

She got there first in terms of hitting the Christian market with the notion that evangelicals shouldn’t discount Harry Potter  as evil. Now she has a new and expanded edition of the book so it is worth a second look.
