posted by Chad Bonham

Inspiring Athletes is going to begin a series of giveaways and to kick things off, we’ve partnered with Sports Spectrum magazine to give away some great prizes. We will randomly select five of our readers to receive a one-year subscription to this fantastic sports magazine. One of those five Inspiring Athletes readers will also receive three Sports Spectrum books including All The Good In Sports, Thankful Life and the magazine’s commemorative Silver Anniversary Edition: Celebrating 25 Years of Sports & Faith!

Here’s what you need to do:

Simply make a comment on this post and tell us what Inspiring Athletes story you’ve enjoyed the most. Choose from any of the great athletes we’ve covered and let us know what inspires you about that athlete or coach in a short sentence or two.

We might even take some of your comments and use them for a special reader’s edition of Inspiring Athletes! Then on Monday, August 29th, we’ll announce our winners and send them their prizes.

I have enjoyed several of your stories. Thank you for your work! I really liked the story of Justin Masterson a lot. I am a Red Sox fan and was sad to see him dealt away – I am a big fan of his. Everywhere I look, I read about how well liked he is by his teammates. That is a great testimony to his character. I also thought he had great things to say about the balance between competing to win, and keeping Jesus first in life.
