So I thought that all-things “Twilight” would fade away with the end of 2008, but the series and talk of it is much like the Energizer Bunny–I see that now. It shows no signs of abating and so, alas, I shall keep posting about it.
The latest newsbit: EW has hinted that Drew Barrymore is on a seriously short list within Summit Entertainment to direct the third book in the “Twilight” Series: “Eclipse”. My immediate reaction is: PLEASE NO! Barrymore has a series of real misses as far as I’m concerned (she produced the “Charlie’s Angels” movies which I could not stand), and while she has some cute films I’ve enjoyed (“Fever Pitch” and “Never Been Kissed”), cute is really not the feeling I imagine “Eclipse” going for.

Can Barrymore evoke the angsty, star-crossed moods of Bella and Edward? I think not. And I’m surprised to find out she’s even come up as a possible director. What do you think?
