ShirleyCaesar.jpgAfter 40 years in the industry, gospel legend Shirlety Caesar is adding one more project to her repertoire, which already includes 42 albums and 8 DVDs.
Her latest 12 song compilation CD, After 40 Years: Still Sweeping Through The City, was released in November of last year, and the DVD complement was released on June 24.
The CD/DVD combo premiere rare classics from the gospel diva, from the 1970’s hits like “Faded Rose,” “How Many Will Be Remembered?”, and a medley of “Peter Don’t Be Afraid,” “Nobody But You, Lord” and “Teach Me, Master” to the 1980s hits like “Jesus, I Love Calling Your Name,” “He’ll Do It Again,” “Peace in the Midst of the Storm,” and “Never.”

Shirley Caesar first burst on the national music scene in 1958 as part of the legendary Caravans gospel group. She went solo in 1966 and over the next 40 years released hits like her first solo hit, “Choose Ye This Day,” to her recent “I Know the Truth,” featuring Tonex.
The CD/DVD, celebrating Caesar’s 40 year solo career, was recorded last July at the 300-member Mt. Calvary Holy Church in Raleigh, NC, where Caesar is a co-pastor.
